Meet the Fellows: Lead Nevada Academy

TNTP Lead Nevada Academy culminates with participants leading a project they’ve designed to improve student achievement and spark innovation across Clark County.

Meet the 2nd Cohort of Lead Nevada participants:




James Mooney has had various experiences in education within the last 10 years. He is currently a 5th grade teacher-lead at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary in CCSD. He has a Masters in Entertainment Business Management from Fullsail University in Clearwater, Florida.



Cesserly Rice has been in education for 2 years. She is currently a 5th grade teacher at Marzano Academy Magnet School in CCSD. She has a BA in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Biology from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, Illinois.



Bertha Muro Mora has been in education for 5 years. She is currently an instructional coach at Dr. William H. Bailey Middle School in CCSD. She has a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.



Mary Ardoin has been in education for 12 years. She is currently an instructional coach and English instructor at Mojave High School in CCSD. She has a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Young Adult Literacy from Kaplan University.



Stevie Johnson, a former NTC Fellow, has had various international experiences in education within the last 6 years. She is currently a 2nd grade teacher at Ronzone Elementary in CCSD. She has a BA in International Studies – Political Science from the University of California, San Diego.



Mary Enwemaya has been in education for 6 years. She is currently a 2nd grade teacher at Doral Academy Fire Mesa. She has a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Starra Pollard-Rosser is a learning strategist at  Twin Lakes Elementary. She has a BS  in Engineering, and a Masters in Elementary Education.



Alex Tejero in an instructional coach at Hickey Elementary. He has a BS in Microbiology and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.



Alyse Sobosan is an instructional coach at Equipo Academy. She has a BS in Nutritional Science and a Masters in Secondary Science.



Cindi Rivera is the Associate Executive Director at Futuro Academy. She has a BA in Law & Society and Spanish, and a Masters in Early Childhood Education.



Kaitlin Lewallen is a teacher at Red Rock Elementary. She has a BS in Education and a Masters in Early Childhood Education.



Jeff McAlpine is an instructional coach at Hickey Elementary. He has a BS in Microbiology and a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. Jeff is now  expanding his impact from the classroom level to the school level by pursuing the Accelerate Institute's Ryan Fellowship.



Lacy Henderson is a teacher at Marzano Academy. She has a BA in Psychology and a Masters in Early Childhood Education.



Sarah Hartman is a teacher at Elaine Wynn Elementary. She has a BS in Political Science and a Masters in Elementary Education.
