Clark County School District Board of Trustees
What is the Board of Trustees & what are they responsible for? The CCSD Trustees are decision-makers for the school district. Seven members are elected based on district; four are appointed representatives from the four largest municipalities in Clark County (Clark County, City of Las Vegas, City of Henderson, and City of North Las Vegas). They are responsible for providing oversight to the Superintendent and establishing District-wide policy. Trustees are accountable to work with their communities to improve student achievement.

How often does the Board of Trustees meet? Trustees meet twice per month (second and fourth Thursdays) at 5 pm both virtually and at the Edward A. Greer Education Center Board Room (2832 E Flamingo Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89121).

Can community members engage at Trustee meetings? Decision-making bodies benefit greatly from hearing public input and multiple perspectives. Currently, members of the public can submit comments on agenda and non-agenda items through email or voice recording. Public comment can be provided in person, via email, or via voice recording. Email comments should be submitted to Boardmtgcomments@nv.ccsd.net. To submit a voice recording on items listed on the meeting agenda, call 702-799-1166. Voice recorded public comment is limited to 1 minute 30 seconds.

Trustees Approved the 2024-25 Tentative Budget (6-0)
Staff presented the 2024-25 tentative budget, as well as background and context on inputs on the budget. Highlights include:
- General Education – State Education Funding/Pupil-Centered Funding Plan is forecasted to increase by $102.2 million to a projected balance of $3.4 billion. The Base Funding increase is due to a per-pupil increase of $452 to $9,497 from $9,045 with a projected enrollment loss of 3,066 (2,648 full unweighted).
- There’s a new definition of “at-risk” students under the Pupil Centered Funding Plan.
- 93.5% of the budget comes from the State’s Education Fund.
- 84% of the full budget is spent on salaries and benefits, with the additional 16% of the budget spent on textbooks, utilities, technology, etc.

Trustees Held a Public Hearing on and Approved the New Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between CCSD and the Clark County Education Association (CCEA) Regarding Amending the Language of the 2023-25 Negotiated Agreement Concerning the Professional Salary Table (5-1-0)
Trustees held a public hearing on and approved the new MOA between CCSD and CCEA, which amended language of the 2023-2025 Negotiated Agreement concerning the Professional Salary Table.
One Trustee abstained from voting on this item.
