Grant information

We set aside a fund to support high-quality organizations and tuition-free public schools who are committed to serving kids in the Clark County neighborhoods that need it most.

We support evidence-based organizations and public school operators who have a track record of achieving outcomes that transform communities and ensure all kids have access to excellent educational opportunities. Opportunity 180 grants provide our local philanthropists with a coordinated and strategic way to magnify the impact of their contributions, while minimizing the risk of funding duplicative or overlapping efforts.

We offer two types of grants:

1.) Planning Grants are available for high-quality, tuition-free charter management organizations interested in expanding operations to serve Clark County students, and for founding school teams (principal and founding teachers) who have a clear vision and strategic plan to launch a school within neighborhoods that need it most. Click here to access our 2018 Planning Grant.

2.) Year 0 Grants are for public charter schools that have already received authorization and are preparing to launch a school within a Clark County neighborhood that needs it most. Year 0 grants are available to approved applicants to offset the one-time start-up costs required to launch new schools and transform underperforming schools to high-performing ones.
