Elysa Arroyo

LEE Fellow

Elysa has worked in education for over a decade and is currently a Clark County teacher serving second-graders at Red Rock Elementary School, where she founded a Drama Program that was recently accepted into the Disney Musicals in Schools program at the Smith Center for the Performing Arts.

A Southern California Native, Elysa moved to Las Vegas in 2014 to become a Teach for America Alumna and serve as a Transition Team Leader to help facilitate the transition of new teachers to Las Vegas. She is also an alumna of the first Learn 2 Lead cohort and will implement her Family Engagement Capstone to bridge the gap between families and Common Core Math at her school site this Fall. Elysa has a Bachelor of Arts in Classical Studies and Comparative Ancient Civilizations from the University of California, Riverside and a Master of Education in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
